Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of welding processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications by utilizing advanced inspection techniques and tools to uphold quality assurance.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to develop and implement quality control plans that align with project timelines and quality expectations, ensuring successful project execution.
- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on welded joints, utilizing methods such as ultrasonic and radiographic testing to identify defects, thereby ensuring the structural integrity of the projects.
- Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports that document findings, corrective actions, and recommendations, ensuring transparent communication with all stakeholders involved in the project.
- Participate in regular quality audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of welding processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance overall quality standards.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior inspectors and welding personnel, promoting a culture of quality awareness and compliance throughout the team and organization.
- Stay updated with the latest industry regulations, codes, and technologies related to welding inspection, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance with standards such as ASME-B31.3 and AWS-D1.1.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects and increasing overall project efficiency, contributing to the organization’s success.
- Act as a liaison between clients and the project team, addressing any quality-related concerns and ensuring that client expectations are met or exceeded throughout the project lifecycle.
