Operations Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and manage fleet operations, heavy equipment, trucks, drivers, and garage activities. The successful candidate will ensure efficient utilization of vehicles and equipment, effective maintenance planning, compliance with safety regulations, and smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of trucks, heavy vehicles, and heavy equipment, ensuring optimal utilization and availability.
- Manage drivers, operators, and garage personnel, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and workforce allocation.
- Supervise garage operations, preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and breakdown management.
- Develop and implement fleet maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and control operating costs.
- Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle performance, maintenance expenses, and equipment utilization.
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment comply with applicable regulations, licensing requirements, and safety standards.
- Coordinate vehicle and equipment allocation according to operational requirements and project demands.
- Maintain accurate records of fleet assets, maintenance history, fuel usage, driver assignments, and operating costs.
- Manage spare parts, workshop tools, external maintenance providers, and supplier relationships.
- Implement operational procedures and KPIs to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost control.
- Investigate vehicle incidents, breakdowns, and operational issues, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Prepare regular operational reports and recommend improvements to fleet and garage performance.
