HVAC Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team at a leading MEP contracting and Service sector company in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of HVAC systems (Chillers, DX Minisplits, Split and Packagewithin our facilities. This role involves a combination of hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance, as well as collaborating with various departments to enhance the operational efficiency of our HVAC systems. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of HVAC principles and a commitment to maintaining a comfortable learning environment for our staff and students.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of HVAC systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and effectively.
2. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, and ventilation systems, to minimize downtime.
3. Implement preventive maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
4. Collaborate with other technical staff to develop and execute HVAC system upgrades and improvements.
5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs, ensuring documentation such as reports is up to date.
6. Assist in the training of junior maintenance staff on HVAC system operations and best practices.
7. Monitor energy consumption and suggest energy-saving initiatives to reduce operational costs.
8. Respond promptly to emergency HVAC issues and provide timely solutions to ensure minimal disruption.
9. Stay updated with the latest HVAC technologies and practices to enhance system performance and have supplier experience and contacts.
10. Communicate effectively with End user, company management and staff regarding HVAC system status and maintenance schedules.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Proven 7 years’ experience as an HVAC Maintenance Engineer or similar role in a commercial setting.
2. Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
3. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
4. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
6. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical information clearly.
7. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software for HVAC systems.
8. Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations in the HVAC field.
9. Flexibility to work irregular hours or on-call as needed for emergency repairs.
10. Relevant certifications or licenses in HVAC technology are preferred.
