Biomedical Engineer (Preferred Male)

Basic Scope of Job:

To ensure the effective operation, maintenance, and safety of all medical and laboratory equipment by providing technical support, conducting preventive maintenance, and coordinating vendors for repairs and installations in compliance with healthcare standards.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

·      Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair biomedical and medical equipment used in hospitals or clinics.

·      Conduct preventive maintenance and performance verification of all medical devices as per manufacturer and safety standards.

·      Troubleshoot technical issues and perform timely repairs to minimize equipment downtime.

·      Ensure all biomedical equipment complies with regulatory and safety requirements.

·      Maintain accurate inventory and service records for all medical devices.

·      Provide technical training and support to healthcare professionals on the correct use of medical equipment.

·      Assist in the evaluation and selection of new biomedical equipment.

·      Coordinate with suppliers and service providers for spare parts, warranty claims, and annual maintenance contracts (AMC).

·      Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing.

·      Prepare reports on equipment performance, breakdowns, and maintenance schedules.

·      Stay updated with technological advancements and emerging trends in biomedical engineering.
