Area Manager – Armada Retail Concept
Role and Objectives: Area Manager is responsible to ensure the delivery of exceptional operational and commercial standards throughout stores in their area. Area Manager will assume responsibility for the overall success of the stores by setting targets, supervising store managers and other shop staff and ensuring they are attained. The goal is to ensure our stores will meet and exceed expectations of business development and efficiency. Effective area managers are skilled in managing diverse operations from a distance He / She has a strategic mindset and are excellent leaders. Excellent abilities in financial and operations planning are also essential for the role. Responsibilities (In Order of Priority): Area Management: Works with the management team in contributing to short and long-term organizational planning, including initiatives geared towards operational excellence. Coordinates with Retail and Operations Managers for any sales activities, promotional campaigns/awareness programs Coordinates in communication of information/updates between Head Office and Store Management Teams. Direct the opening of new stores by ensuring the availability of needed resources (staff, Merchandise, logistics and others) and manage the closing of existing ones. Manage and drive the performance of brands and areas. Provide support to team in related area for training on specific brand information (Product Knowledge) and roll out of new collections across stores in accordance with Visual merchandising and Product management teams Visit shops across different locations for Brand Performance Evaluation and Team Support. Participate in development of the seasonal projection report and monitor competitors’ new openings and street locations opportunities (when applicable) and inform the hierarchy accordingly. Full aware of the procedures of Opening, Daily customer round & Closing Stores Follow up for any maintenance issues in the stores. Financial Controls and Profitability Management: Oversee the sale performance by comparing the actual sales versus the weekly targets and compare it with the previous years. Communicate and measure the sales target and objectives for shops (daily, weekly and monthly) with shops managers and seek maximize shops sales. Keep up to date for yearly calendar in coordination with Product management Team and direct the coordination of sales promotion activities and pricing of merchandising. Review KPI’s (Daily, weekly, quarterly and yearly Sales vs budgets, Stock Reports etc.) daily and communicate to Shop Managers as necessary. Maximize the Sales per square meter for each store by monitoring the stores performance report and take the needed actions. Monitor the sales performance of stores with shops managers and operations manager daily, monthly quarterly and yearly. Benchmark shops against each other, set/reset/clarify objectives and identify Best Practices monthly to achieve the sales target. Conduct competitors’ survey and share with division head. Stock Management: Achieve the stock control targets in line with the company guidelines to prevent financial loss. Review and monitor inventory level reports and coordinate with product management team to take the appropriate action in a timely manner. Provide feedback about customer feedback related to brand and stocks to brand managers and operations manager. Ensure best seller stock availability and display in focal point. Customer Service Management: Conduct customer surveys and get feedback from customers about quality of services Review customer complaints and provide support appropriately in addition to communicate as necessary to operations manager. Ensure exceptional customer service is provided at all times. Database management. People Management Maintain and enhance the skills of the shops managers at managing individuals and their teams and getting the best out of them. Ensure shops teams are trained and coached on selling skills, merchandising & exceptional Customer Service Monitor the scheduling of all types of leaves for store management staff, in terms of weekly schedule and rotation. Assist in shops recruitment and inductions for new joiners. Assess shops managers’ performance and identify their training, coaching setting career plan needed and identify potential employees. Plan and execute Best Practice with shops managers. Store’s Administration: Ensure marketing plans are implemented and followed up in stores. Ensure all policies and procedures and other legal requirements needed are followed properly Audit the stores and their premises are maintained to company standards/franchise standards, policies and procedures Monitor Adherence safety, security and cleanliness of store in accordance with shops managers Ensure maintenance of store for all aspects Store’s Image: Collate and provide constructive feedback on VM Standards to the business. Ensure the visual presentation of all stores presents the brand image Ensure standards and guidelines of visual merchandising are followed and recommend brands positioning and image. Store’s Visit: Periodically store visit with checking the store manager check list, make sure employees are following company standards and make randomly audit for cash and sending/receiving stocks. Quarterly visit the store for OVR (Operations Visit Review) List. Any other task within the business’ need.
