Temporary role -POS Development & Implementation Specialist – SOS HR Solutions
Job Purpose The POS Development & Implementation Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end planning, coordination, implementation, and tracking of Point-of-Sale Materials (POSM) across all channels and brands. The role serves as the key liaison between Trade Marketing, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to ensure POSM activities are delivered on time, executed effectively in the market, and aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities POSM Planning & Execution • Develop and maintain the annual POSM and promotional activity calendar. • Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and Trade Marketing Operations (TMO) to align POSM requirements and timelines. • Translate marketing activities into actionable POSM briefs and production plans. • Monitor project milestones and proactively address risks to ensure timely delivery. Sales & Cross-Functional Coordination • Provide clear guidance to Sales teams on POSM priorities and activity execution. • Ensure effective communication and alignment between Sales, Marketing, and Trade Marketing teams. • Support the successful implementation of promotional campaigns across all channels. POSM Inventory & Distribution Management • Manage POSM inventory and maintain accurate stock records. • Coordinate warehouse-to-market distribution to ensure timely deployment of POSM materials. • Track POSM usage, availability, and deployment status across locations. • Develop and implement plans for excess or obsolete POSM inventory to minimize waste and costs. Proof of Performance (POP) Management • Coordinate the collection of execution evidence, including photos and field reports. • Review POP submissions to ensure compliance and execution quality. • Prepare performance reports and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. • Recommend improvements to enhance future POSM execution and effectiveness. New Product Listings & Sampling Support • Coordinate new SKU listing requirements with Sales, Marketing, and Trade Marketing Operations. • Organize and distribute product samples for customer presentations and listing activities. • Monitor and report on sample distribution and utilization. Qualifications & Experience • 4–6 years of experience in trade marketing, commercial operations, or a related field. Hands-on experience in POSM management and in-store execution is required. Background in FMCG or consumer goods is strongly preferred. • Strong organisational and follow-up skills — able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. • Clear and confident communicator, comfortable coordinating across Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams. • Detail-oriented with a practical, hands-on approach to execution. • Comfortable working with trackers, calendars, and reporting tools (MS Excel and PowerPoint proficiency required). • Proactive in flagging issues and following through to resolution. • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. • Arabic is a plus. • Availability to conduct periodic store visits and field checks.
