Warehouse Supervisor – United Beverage Company K.S.C.C
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our dynamic team in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the daily operations of our warehouse facility, ensuring efficiency and productivity while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating the receipt, storage, and distribution of products, while also leading a team of warehouse staff to achieve operational goals. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement in warehouse processes.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise all warehouses operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Check purchase orders to verify that all received raw materials, tools, spare parts, and finished products match the stated quantities and meet the required specifications and escalate any issues to the Direct Manager to take the necessary action.
- Coordinate with the Direct Manager regarding the arrival of new materials or products to ensure adequate storage space and timely stocking.
- Ensure optimal usage of warehouse space for easy access to stored finished products, raw materials, and spare parts, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval when required.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify that the Warehouse environment is suitable for storing raw materials, spare parts, and finished products, maintaining compliance with UBC’s set standards for temperature, cleanliness, and sterilization.
- Ensure proper implementation of security procedures to safeguard raw materials, spare parts, and finished products stored in the Warehouse.
- Coordinate with the relevant stakeholders to ensure regular checks and maintenance of Warehouse machinery and equipment, ensuring compliance with UBC standards for storing and handling production-related items.
- Supervise regular cycle counts, stock checks, and inventory reconciliation to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity.
- Implement health and safety policies, standards and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide training to warehouse staff, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Supervise shift scheduling, performance management, and the development of a skilled workforce, driving operational efficiency while maintaining the highest safety standards across all activities.
- Supervise the processing and fulfillment of sales orders, ensuring that all orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date warehouse documentation, including but not limited to reports, packing slips, and shipping records.
- Collaborate with the procurement department to address issues related to damaged goods received from suppliers. Communicate effectively to ensure timely resolutions and minimize disruption to operations.
- Liaise with suppliers and carriers to address issues related to damaged goods. Coordinate returns, replacements, or repairs as needed to minimize operational disruptions.
- Supervise the maintenance and upkeep of the warehouse facility to ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment.
- Supervise the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operations. Implement and monitor maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment. To comply with safety protocols, including proper use of equipment and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Ensure that orders are fulfilled accurately and promptly to meet customer expectations and minimize disruptions in operations.
Preferred Candidate:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar role within the FMCG industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and other departments.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
