Purchasing Officer – One Facilities Management

The Purchasing Officer is a vital position within our organization, responsible for overseeing the procurement process to ensure that goods and services are acquired efficiently and cost-effectively. We are urgently looking for immediate joiners who possess around three years of experience in purchasing management, stock and inventory control, and supplier relationship management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of market trends and the ability to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers. This role requires a proactive approach to managing inventory levels and ensuring compliance with company policies while fostering strong relationships with suppliers to enhance service delivery.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to streamline procurement processes.
  2. Conduct thorough market research to identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
  3. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms.
  4. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
  5. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
  6. Collaborate with various departments to forecast demand and align purchasing activities accordingly.
  7. Analyze purchasing data and prepare detailed reports for management review.
  8. Address and resolve any issues related to supplier performance or product quality.
  9. Maintain strong and effective relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and collaboration.
  10. Stay informed about market trends and changes in the procurement landscape to adapt strategies accordingly.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles.
  2. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
  3. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  4. Experience in stock and inventory management.
  5. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  7. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  9. Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
  10. Commitment to ethical standards and integrity in procurement practices.
