Psychomotor Therapist – Autism & Special Needs – SOS HR Solutions

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychomotor Therapist to work with children on the autism spectrum and those with developmental or learning differences. The therapist will use movement-based therapeutic interventions to support sensory integration, emotional regulation, motor skills development, social interaction, and self-awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess the psychomotor development, sensory-motor integration, and behavioral patterns of children with autism and special needs.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child’s needs and goals.
• Conduct 1:1 and group therapy sessions focused on movement, body awareness, coordination, spatial orientation, and emotional expression.
• Use therapeutic play, structured movement activities, and relaxation techniques to promote self-regulation and engagement.
• Support children in developing interpersonal and communication skills through physical interaction.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including special education teachers, speech and occupational therapists, psychologists, and parents.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, therapy plans, session notes, and progress reports.
• Participate in team meetings, parent consultations, and individualized education plan (IEP) discussions when applicable.
• Stay current with research and best practices in autism intervention and psychomotor therapy.
