Teacher Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students. Assess, monitor, record, and report student progress using a range of assessment strategies. Set high expectations for student behaviour, achievement, and personal development. Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into daily classroom practice. Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and assessment data. Participate actively in curriculum development, departmental meetings, school improvement initiatives, and professional development. Early Years Teachers will additionally: Deliver a play-based, child-centred curriculum that supports children’s academic, emotional, physical, and social development. Foster early literacy, numeracy, communication, creativity, and independence through engaging learning experiences. Primary Teachers will additionally: Deliver a broad and balanced curriculum that develops strong foundations across all subject areas. Inspire curiosity, creativity, and independent thinking while supporting students’ holistic development. Secondary Teachers will additionally: Deliver specialist subject instruction that prepares students for IGCSE, AS, and A Level examinations where applicable. Encourage critical thinking, independent learning, and academic excellence while preparing students for higher education and future careers. Teacher Salary & Benefits (Overseas Hires) Teaching Benefit Details Start Date August 2026 Salary Competitive salary based on the KES Teacher Salary Scale, qualifications, teaching certification, and verified years of relevant experience. Accommodation Furnished school accommodation with utilities included or a monthly housing allowance, depending on eligibility and family status. Airfare Annual round-trip airfare allowance for the employee and eligible dependents. Vacation National and school holidays in accordance with the academic calendar. Medical Insurance Private medical insurance provided for overseas employees. Eligible dependents may be enrolled at the employee’s cost. Settling-in Allowance KD 200 provided upon arrival for eligible overseas teaching staff. Visa Allowance KD 100 reimbursement for eligible overseas hires arriving with a completed work visa obtained overseas. Baggage Allowance Excess baggage reimbursement (up to 100 GBP) during the first contract year. Education Allowance 50% tuition discount for eligible children attending Kuwait English School.
