Government Relations Supervisor

Government Relation Supervisor Responsibilties:

  • Supervise and guide Government Relations Officers/Mandoubs to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Review all submissions before they are filed to ensure accuracy and compliance with requirements.
  • Train team members on regulatory procedures, documentation standards, and updates in governmental systems (e.g., Sahel, New MOCI portal).
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for management on licensing status, processed applications, upcoming renewals, and government interactions.
  • Represent the company professionally in all government institutions and ensure a positive organizational reputation.
  • Liaise directly with the company’s owners, CEO, and executive management when handling high-level matters with ministries or regulatory bodies.
  • Support submission of documents for tenders, company registrations, and compliance updates needed by government-affiliated customers.
  • Build strong working relationships with government officers to ensure efficient processing of company requests.
  • Prepare and issue official administrative documents, including: (Salary certificates, experience certificates, employment verification letters, and authorized signatory documents)
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, Procurement, Warehouse, and Retail divisions to complete any required documentation for government authorities.
  • Oversee the submission and follow-up of applications, approvals, and clearances for new projects, branches, and warehouses.
  • Ensure timely processing and renewal of all company licenses, commercial registrations, and regulatory certificates.
  • Monitor upcoming regulatory changes and advise management on compliance requirements and potential business impact.
  • Maintain a comprehensive calendar of all license expiration dates and ensure proactive renewals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with key governmental entities, including:
  1. Ministry of Interior (MOI) – residency processes, work permits, visa renewals, security approvals.
  2. Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MOCI) – company commercial licenses, amendments, advertisement permits.
  3. Public Authority for Food & Nutrition (PAFN) – product registrations, import approvals, inspections.
  4. Public Tender Committee – tender registrations, submission requirements, compliance documents.
  5. Kuwait Fire Force (Fire Department) – fire safety approvals, renewal of fire compliance certificates for warehouses, retail stores, and offices.
