Contracts Manager (EPC Power and Water Experience) – Kuwait
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager with a strong background in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) within the power and water sectors. This pivotal role involves overseeing the contractual aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and managing relationships with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be responsible for negotiating contracts, mitigating risks, and providing strategic advice to our project teams. The Contracts Manager will play a crucial role in driving project success by ensuring that all contractual obligations are met while maintaining strong communication with clients and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire contract lifecycle from initiation to closure, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to achieve favorable outcomes for the organization.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate potential contractual risks.
- Review and analyze contract documents to ensure clarity and compliance with project specifications and legal standards.
- Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to provide guidance on contract obligations and deliverables.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of all contractual agreements, amendments, and correspondence.
- Monitor project progress and ensure that contractual terms are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate dispute resolution processes and manage claims and variations effectively.
- Provide training and support to project teams on contract management best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in legislation affecting contracts in the power and water sectors.
Preferred Candidate:
- Proven experience in contracts management within the EPC sector, specifically in power and water projects.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successfully managing complex contracts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and legal teams.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance in contract documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in contract management software and tools.
