Accounting Manager – Cut Kuwait Co. – Khat Gallery Co.

The Accounting Manager plays a crucial role in the financial health of a retail and wholesale company in Kuwait. This position is responsible for overseeing the accounting department, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to drive financial success.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
2. Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
3. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
4. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support for professional development.
5. Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and ensure timely completion of all audit requirements.
6. Monitor cash flow and financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
7. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and prepare necessary tax filings.
8. Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
9. Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in accounting operations.
10. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations to ensure compliance.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role in the retail or wholesale industry.
2. Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
5. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
6. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. Strong ethical standards and integrity in financial practices.
9. Proficiency in financial analysis and forecasting.
10. Fluency in Arabic is a plus.
