Accountant – Remotely – Syrian National – Biancanera Fashion Group

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in the fashion design industry. This remote position offers the opportunity to contribute to a creative and innovative environment while managing the financial aspects of our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of our financial records and supporting strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
2. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation of invoices and payments.
3. Conduct regular financial audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
4. Assist in budget preparation and forecasting, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
5. Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends and variances to support management decision-making.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support for various projects and initiatives.
7. Ensure timely filing of tax returns and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
8. Implement and maintain accounting systems and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
9. Provide training and support to junior accounting staff as needed.
10. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations to ensure best practices are followed.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the fashion design or related industry.
2. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as financial reporting standards.
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
4. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote environment.
5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
6. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
7. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
8. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
9. Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
10. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; CPA certification is a plus.
