US Equity Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented US Equity Researcher to join our team in Al Kuwait. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical background and a deep understanding of the US equity markets. This role involves conducting comprehensive research and analysis of publicly traded companies, assessing market trends, and providing actionable investment recommendations. The successful candidate will work closely with portfolio managers and other stakeholders to support investment strategies and drive informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct in-depth financial analysis and valuation of US publicly traded companies using various methodologies, including discounted cash flow, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions.
2. Monitor and analyze market trends, economic indicators, and industry developments to identify investment opportunities and risks.
3. Prepare detailed research reports and presentations that summarize findings, investment theses, and recommendations for both internal and external stakeholders.
4. Collaborate with portfolio managers to develop and refine investment strategies based on research insights and market conditions.
5. Engage with company management teams, industry experts, and other analysts to gather insights and validate research assumptions.
6. Maintain and update financial models and databases to ensure accuracy and relevance of research outputs.
7. Present research findings and investment recommendations in team meetings and to senior management, articulating complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
8. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and compliance requirements affecting the equity markets and ensure all research is conducted within these guidelines.
9. Contribute to the development of proprietary research tools and methodologies to enhance the research process.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Strong academic background in finance, economics, or a related field with a focus on equity research or investment analysis.
2. Proven experience in equity research, investment banking, or asset management with a track record of generating actionable insights.
3. Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex financial concepts to a broad audience.
5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, such as Excel, Bloomberg, or similar platforms.
7. Demonstrated understanding of macroeconomic factors and their impact on equity markets.

9. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
