Substation Design Engineer - Industrial Electrical Projects Company

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Substation Design Engineer to join our engineering

team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, planning, and development

of electrical substations (LV/MV) in compliance with industry standards and project

requirements.

The role involves preparing detailed electrical schematics, layout drawings, protection and

control designs, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate

project delivery. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of power systems,

substation equipment, and relevant engineering software.

Key Responsibilities

 Develop and review Single Line Diagrams (SLD)

 Design and implement protection schemes

 Prepare schematic drawings and design studies

 Design substation layouts and detailed drawings

 Review vendor documents and technical submissions

 Perform cable sizing calculations

 Conduct lighting design and lux level calculations

 Perform lightning protection system design

 Conduct grounding/earthing system calculations

 Perform equipment sizing for:

o Switchgear (SWGR)

o Transformers (TRFR)

o APFC Panels

o Generators (GEN)

o UPS Systems
