Service (Workshop) Supervisor
Job Summary
Responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of his cost center(s) in order achieve service operations performance goals and efficiency targets. Responsible for providing a quality and timely service to maintain high level of customer satisfaction. Responsible for keeping clean, safe, hazard-free, and healthy working environment that motivates and empowers employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing and running efficient and effective cost center (CC) operation to minimize cost and achieve profit targets (Work order cost and labor recovery rate)
- Ensure that his CC/ technicians provide quality, timely, and fair value services to customers.
- Develop and build healthy relationships with customers he deals with.
- Monitor quality and timeliness of repairs to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
- Ensure that jobs are completed within the standard time.
- Monitor closely re-do work jobs and take appropriate actions to improve repairs quality.
- Perform effective cost control on all shop supplies and consumables.
- Ensure avoidance of wasting time & material
- Effectively reduce tardiness and absenteeism
- Control overtime work
- Ensure that work order segmentation is in line with tasks to be performed
- Ensure that all labor, parts, and miscellaneous transactions are booked to the right segments.
- Review all work order segments prior to closing to ensure a fair and proper booking of labor, parts & miscellaneous charges, and take corrective action where needed.
- Ensure that all work order segments are promptly closed upon completion of last labor.
- Give priority to new product warranty repairs to protect brand image and reduce impact on customers.
- Ensure that shop warranty repairs are done in efficient manner, warranty parts are properly tagged and stored, and shop service reports are properly filled and completed.
- To follow up with PM schedule as per the signed contract.
- Instruct technicians and ensure to implement the right PM service as per the standards.
- Manage workshop bays, tools, equipment for cleanliness & safety, and follow operating standards, to ensure quality recognition and certification (5[ Contamination Control Certification Rating).
