Quantity Surveyor

  1. Responsibilities:Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other project documentation to ensure accurate budgeting and financial planning.
  2. Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects, considering factors such as site conditions, materials, and labor costs to provide informed recommendations.
  3. Monitor project expenses and financial performance against budgets, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions to maintain financial control.
  4. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop cost-effective strategies for procurement, ensuring that materials and services are sourced efficiently and economically.
  5. Prepare and submit tender documents, including bills of quantities, to potential contractors while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  6. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with project goals and budget constraints.
  7. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, assess compliance with design specifications, and provide on-site support to address any cost-related issues.
  8. Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects, including invoices, payment applications, and change orders for effective audit trails.
  9. Provide expert advice on legal and contractual matters related to construction projects, ensuring that the company adheres to all relevant laws and regulations.
