Qhse Officer – Kuwait Drilling Fluids & Oil Services

We are seeking a dedicated QHSE Officer to join our dynamic team in the oil and gas industry located in Al Ahmadi, Kuwait. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our operations comply with the highest standards of quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations. As a QHSE Officer, you will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of safety and compliance, which is vital for our success and sustainability in this competitive sector.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular audits and inspections of operational activities to ensure compliance with QHSE standards, utilizing checklists and reporting tools to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with QHSE and ISO standards.
3. Implement and maintain QHSE management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
4. Develop and implement QHSE policies and procedures, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that all employees are informed and trained on these standards to foster a culture of safety.
5. Monitor and analyze incident reports and safety performance metrics, preparing detailed reports that identify trends and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
6. Lead safety training sessions and workshops for employees, using engaging materials and interactive methods to ensure understanding and commitment to safety practices.
7. Coordinate emergency response drills and safety campaigns, ensuring that all team members are prepared for potential emergencies and understand their roles in crisis situations.
8. Manage the documentation of QHSE-related records, ensuring that all necessary reports, certifications, and compliance documents are accurately maintained and easily accessible for audits.
9. Collaborate with external regulatory bodies and industry organizations to stay updated on the latest QHSE regulations and best practices, ensuring our operations remain compliant and competitive.
10. Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for new projects, utilizing industry-standard tools and methodologies to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
11. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the organization by promoting a proactive approach to QHSE management, encouraging feedback from employees to enhance processes and practices.
