Purchasing Officer – One Facilities Management
The Purchasing Officer is a vital position within our organization, responsible for overseeing the procurement process to ensure that goods and services are acquired efficiently and cost-effectively. We are urgently looking for immediate joiners who possess around three years of experience in purchasing management, stock and inventory control, and supplier relationship management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of market trends and the ability to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers. This role requires a proactive approach to managing inventory levels and ensuring compliance with company policies while fostering strong relationships with suppliers to enhance service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to streamline procurement processes.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with various departments to forecast demand and align purchasing activities accordingly.
- Analyze purchasing data and prepare detailed reports for management review.
- Address and resolve any issues related to supplier performance or product quality.
- Maintain strong and effective relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and collaboration.
- Stay informed about market trends and changes in the procurement landscape to adapt strategies accordingly.
Preferred Candidate:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience in stock and inventory management.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Commitment to ethical standards and integrity in procurement practices.
