Production Supervisor – SmartWood
We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Production Supervisor to manage our cutting list operations in Al Kuwait, Kuwait. This position is integral to our manufacturing processes, focusing on CNC cutting and AutoCAD applications.
The ideal candidate will have a robust background in production supervision within the manufacturing sector, particularly in environments utilizing advanced machinery like CNC cutting tools. You will be responsible for ensuring that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely while maintaining the highest quality standards. Your role will involve not just overseeing day-to-day operations but also optimizing workflows, leading a team of dedicated professionals, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of CNC cutting processes, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and to specification.
2. Lead and mentor a team of production workers, providing training and support in the operation of CNC machinery and AutoCAD software.
3. Develop and implement production schedules, adjusting as necessary to meet changing demands and optimize efficiency.
4. Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure that all products meet stringent industry standards and customer requirements.
5. Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, implementing Lean manufacturing practices to enhance productivity.
6. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure accurate interpretation of AutoCAD drawings for production purposes.
7. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, OSHA standards, and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
8. Manage inventory of raw materials, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery to meet production needs.
9. Utilize ERP/MRP systems to track production performance, resources, and delivery timelines.
10. Prepare detailed reports on production metrics (efficiency, downtime, scrap, and rework rates), identify issues, and propose solutions to management.
11. Resolve production-related challenges promptly to minimize disruptions and maintain workflow.
12. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across the production floor.
Preferred Candidate
13. Proven experience in a supervisory role in manufacturing, specifically with CNC cutting and AutoCAD applications.
14. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of production staff.
15. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address production challenges effectively.
16. In-depth knowledge of CNC machinery, cutting processes, and quality control practices.
17. Effective communication skills to interact with team members, management, suppliers, and other departments.
18. Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
19. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in production.
20. Proficiency in AutoCAD, ERP/MRP systems, and other relevant software for production planning and execution.
21. A degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
22. Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or OSHA are highly desirable.
23. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and build consensus across teams.
24. Ability to adapt to changing production needs and work effectively under pressure.
25. Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is an added advantage.
