Patient Care Assistant – SOS HR Solutions
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their comfort and dignity while using compassionate communication skills to build rapport.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, utilizing medical equipment effectively to ensure accurate data collection for healthcare professionals.
- Provide support during meals, helping patients with feeding if necessary, and ensuring that dietary restrictions are adhered to, promoting overall health and nutrition.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols and regularly sanitizing equipment and patient areas to prevent the spread of illness.
- Communicate patient needs and concerns to nursing staff promptly, ensuring that any changes in condition are addressed swiftly to enhance patient care.
- Assist healthcare professionals with medical procedures, preparing necessary tools and materials, and ensuring a smooth workflow in a busy healthcare setting.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to continuously improve skills and knowledge related to patient care and support, demonstrating commitment to professional development.
- Document patient interactions and care provided in electronic health records accurately, ensuring compliance with regulations and facilitating effective communication among the healthcare team.
- Engage with patients and their families, providing emotional support and education about care plans, which fosters trust and enhances the overall patient experience.
