Scope and Purpose:
We are looking for a dedicated Network & Security Administrator to join our team at AUK. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring and maintaining network infrastructure, providing support for firewalls and security systems, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and assisting with IP telephony support. The Network & Security Administrator will also be involved in monitoring network performance, applying software and firmware updates, ensuring security compliance, and maintaining network documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and support network devices such as switches, routers, VLANs, and wireless access points.
- Assist in managing firewalls, endpoint protection, and intrusion prevention systems to enforce security policies.
- Configure VPN access, Wi-Fi authentication, and user access controls through identity services.
- Monitor network performance, resolve connectivity issues, and respond to incidents in collaboration with senior staff.
- Support the setup and maintenance of IP phone systems, voicemail, and call routing configurations.
- Perform routine updates to networking equipment and document changes for compliance.
- Follow security protocols for secure access, assist with vulnerability assessments, and maintain system logs.
