Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Training & Education Center in Al Kuwait. This position is critical to ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our mechanical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, maintenance practices, and a passion for continuous improvement in a fast-paced educational environment. You will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various mechanical systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively to support our educational programs.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure they are functioning correctly.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures, determining the root cause and implementing effective solutions.
3. Collaborate with other engineering and maintenance staff to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
4. Maintain accurate records and submit timely reports of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
5. Assist in the design and modification of mechanical systems to improve performance and reliability.
6. Train and mentor junior maintenance staff on best practices and safety protocols.
7. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and reduce downtime.
8. Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
9. Stay updated with the latest technologies and advancements in mechanical engineering and maintenance practices.
10. .Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Proven 7years experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in an educational or training environment.
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey technical information.
4. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, fostering positive relationships with colleagues.
5. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety and compliance in all maintenance activities.
6. Proactive approach to identifying potential issues and implementing preventive measures.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
8. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies in mechanical maintenance.
9. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and staying current with industry trends.
10. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
11. Must have KSE membership and previous ministry approvals.
