Food Quality Assurance Officer

The Food Quality Assurance Officer plays a critical role in ensuring that all food products meet the highest standards of safety and quality. This dynamic position not only involves rigorous testing and inspection of food items but also emphasizes the importance of maintaining compliance with health regulations and industry standards.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in quality control processes and food safety protocols. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, gaining insights into various aspects of food production while contributing to the overall mission of promoting health and well-being through quality food products.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular inspections and audits of food products, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards, utilizing tools such as checklists and inspection software to document findings.
2. Develop and implement quality assurance protocols and procedures to enhance food safety practices, collaborating with production teams to ensure adherence to these guidelines.
3. Provide technical and quality related assistance to other departments, assist in marketing department’s on recipes, videos and photo shoot when required.
4. Train and mentor staff on food safety practices and quality assurance processes, conducting workshops and training sessions to enhance team knowledge and compliance.
5. Work closely with suppliers to assess the quality of raw materials, conducting audits and evaluations to ensure that all ingredients meet company standards.
6. Investigate customer complaints related to food quality and safety, conducting thorough analyses to determine root causes and implementing corrective actions as needed.
7. Compile/archive QC report related documents
8. Assist to maintain, source and purchase QC equipment and consumables when required
9. . Assist in product development or product improvement sensory evaluation preparations when required
10. . Assist sales or other departments with product specification, certification and quality related document requests
11. . Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in food safety technology, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation within the quality assurance framework.
