Floor man – Falcon Multi Services

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Floor Man to join our team in Al Kuwait, Kuwait, specifically within the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the facility’s floors, particularly in areas where heavy machinery and equipment are utilized. This role requires a strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Floor Man will be tasked with using various cleaning equipment and chemicals to achieve the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel involved in oil and gas operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct daily cleaning and maintenance of all floor surfaces in operational areas, including drilling rigs and equipment storage facilities, ensuring they are free from spills and debris.
2. Inspect and report any damages or issues with flooring materials, particularly in high-traffic areas, and recommend appropriate repairs to maintain safety standards.
3. Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and machinery safely and effectively, following all safety protocols specific to the oil and gas industry.
4. Assist in setting up and breaking down areas for operations, ensuring floors are clean and presentable before and after shifts.
5. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure uninterrupted operations.
6. Coordinate with other maintenance staff and safety officers to address any additional cleaning needs or emergencies that arise in the workplace.
7. Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding health, safety, and environmental practices in the oil and gas sector.
8. Train new staff on floor maintenance procedures and best practices related to the oil and gas industry.
9. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with colleagues and clients in a high-stakes environment.
10. Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to improving cleaning processes and safety protocols.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Proven experience in floor maintenance or a related field, preferably within the oil and gas industry, demonstrating a strong work ethic and reliability.
2. Ability to operate various cleaning equipment, such as floor buffers and scrubbers, in industrial settings.
3. Strong attention to detail, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standard, particularly in safety-sensitive areas.
4. Excellent communication skills, able to work well with others and take direction as needed in a collaborative environment.
5. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods, especially in demanding industrial conditions.
6. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe usage, particularly in relation to oil and gas operations.
7. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by operational demands.
8. Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
9. Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment, adhering to industry regulations.
