Financial Controller – Senergy

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our dynamic team in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions. This position requires a strong grasp of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as the ability to analyze complex financial data to drive organizational success. As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for leading a team of finance professionals and collaborating with various departments to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  2. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and operational efficiency.
  3. Conduct detailed financial analysis and variance reporting to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
  4. Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to align financial goals with business objectives.
  5. Manage cash flow and working capital, optimizing the company’s financial position.
  6. Coordinate and support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely completion.
  7. Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
  8. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular financial reports for stakeholders.
  9. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and reporting requirements.

  1. Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role in the oil and gas industry or a related field.
  2. Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws.
  3. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing finance teams.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  6. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  7. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.
  8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  9. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is highly desirable.
