Electrical Tendering Engineer – Al-Mailam and Shaalan Co

We are looking for a dedicated Tendering/Estimation Electrical Engineer to join our esteemed Electrical Contracting Division in Kuwait. This role is pivotal in managing the tendering process for various electrical engineering and construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting tenders, ensuring that all project requirements and specifications are met effectively. You will collaborate closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to gather essential information, analyze project specifications, and prepare comprehensive bids that reflect the highest standards of quality and compliance. This position demands a strong technical background, exceptional analytical and public relations skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and submit tenders for electrical engineering projects, ensuring all documentation is complete and submitted on time.
2. Analyze project requirements and specifications to develop precise and competitive tender proposals.
3. Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to gather necessary information and clarify project details.
4. Estimate costs and prepare detailed cost breakdowns to ensure financial viability of tender submissions.
5. Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations in all tender documents and proposals.
6. Perform value engineering and cost reduction analyses as needed to enhance project competitiveness.
7. Assist in the procurement of specified materials, ensuring alignment with project requirements and timelines.
8. Review and evaluate bids from contractors, providing recommendations based on technical and financial assessments.
9. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry trends and best practices to inform tendering strategies.
10. Participate in post-tender negotiations and contract discussions to secure favorable terms for the company.

Preferred Candidate:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with relevant certifications being an advantage.
2. Proven experience in tendering processes within the electrical engineering sector, particularly in preparing competitive bids.
3. Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex technical data and making informed decisions.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with clients and team members.
5. Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
6. Proficiency in engineering software, particularly AutoCAD, for design and documentation purposes.
