Brand Manager – Ali Abdulwahab Al Mutawa
We are looking for a results-driven Brand Manager to join our team, with strong expertise in budgeting, supplier management, product selection, pricing strategies, and stock allocation within the retail, sport, fashion, and apparel industry.
Strategy Formulation
- Develop objectives and KPIs for the Brands Function/Team in line with the Business Division/Department’s strategic goals, ensuring alignment with retail, sport, fashion, and apparel market dynamics.
- Review brand performance and operating results, taking corrective actions to address gaps and optimize commercial outcomes.
- Build brand strategies based on consumer insights, market trends, and competitor analysis to strengthen positioning and maximize sales performance.
Operations
- Develop and manage the assigned brand’s annual budgeting, ensuring strict control over costs, margins, and profitability targets.
- Assist in the preparation of the Business Division’s annual budget, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and financial discipline.
- Lead supplier/vendor management, including negotiation, coordination, and maintaining strong relationships to ensure optimal product availability and commercial terms.
- Oversee product selection and assortment planning, ensuring the right mix of items aligned with brand identity, seasonal trends, and customer demand within the retail/sport/fashion/apparel sector.
- Define and implement pricing strategies, ensuring competitiveness in the local market while maintaining target margins and alignment with brand guidelines.
- Manage stock allocation and inventory distribution across stores, ensuring optimal stock levels, minimizing overstock/stockouts, and maximizing sell-through.
- Drive the merchandise planning process, aligning buying, allocation, and replenishment strategies with sales targets and retail standards.
- Develop and implement brand-specific policies and procedures to support operational excellence and consistency.
- Lead brand-building initiatives to enhance customer loyalty and strengthen brand equity in line with company vision and vendor guidelines.
- Manage overall brand communication to ensure consistent positioning and strong market presence.
- Conduct ongoing financial analysis, forecasting, and re-forecasting, evaluating brand performance and presenting insights to senior management.
- Prepare and execute the annual business plan, ensuring full compliance with budget and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with vendors to align on pricing, product launches, and seasonal strategies.
- Ensure alignment of all team members with brand values, priorities, and operational goals.
- Conduct market research to monitor competition, trends, and customer behavior, translating insights into actionable strategies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on advertising, promotions, and product positioning.
- Oversee visual merchandising planning and execution across stores, ensuring compliance with brand standards.
- Conduct regular store visits to evaluate merchandising, stock levels, and overall brand presentation.
- Analyze brand performance reports and trackers to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Prepare reports and presentations as required by senior management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
