Assistant Finance Manager

Role:

  • The Assistant Finance Manager, will play a key role in shaping the company’s financial future, driving efficiency, and ensuring financial sustainability while supporting the Finance Manager and CFO in achieving strategic financial objectives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards while utilizing financial software to streamline the reporting process.
  2. Support the budgeting process by gathering data, analyzing trends, and providing insights to help management make informed financial decisions.
  3. Forecast and monitor cash flow.
  4. Support long-term financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting and investment analysis.
  5. Support financial transformation initiatives, including ERP implementations and process improvements.
  6. Strengthen internal control frameworks to safeguard company assets.
  7. Partner with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Legal, and Talent, to align financial objectives with business goals.
  8. Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
  9. Develop and mentor Finance team members to build a high-performing finance function.
  10. . Experience in Treasury management.
  11. . Analyze financial performance metrics and prepare variance reports to identify areas for cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
  12. Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and mitigate risks.
  13. . Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth and development.
  14. Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and promote cross-functional collaboration for better financial management.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a senior finance role.
  • Must have worked in Audit firms for atleast 1 year.
  • Must have experience in SAP / Oracle ERP / MS Dynamics.
  • Experience in the AEC industry or a project-based professional services environment.
  • Proven track record of leading financial strategy, FP&A and financial operations.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, IFRS, and tax laws in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.
  • Experience working with executive leadership and cross-functional teams in a complex, multi-country environments.

Certifications & Memberships

  • Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CFA is required.
