Application Engineer – Refrigeration Industries & Storage and Oil Services Co. (K.S.C.)
To serve as the vital technical bridge between the company’s products and its customers. This role involves providing pre-sale and post-sale technical support, designing optimal system solutions using company products, preparing technical proposals, and ensuring customer success through expert guidance and problem-solving.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Work closely with the Sales team to understand customer requirements, specifications, and application challenges.
2. Design, configure, and recommend optimal product or system solutions using the company’s portfolio to meet customer needs.
3. Develop detailed technical proposals, system layouts, schematics, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
4. Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical trainings for customers, distributors, and sales staff.
5. Perform application-specific calculations, simulations, or feasibility studies to validate proposed solutions.
6. Provide expert technical support to customers and field personnel during installation, commissioning, and operation.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to product application, performance, or integration.
8. Create and maintain application notes, technical documentation, and best practice guides.
9. Analyze field failures or performance data and collaborate with R&D/Quality teams to drive product improvements.
10. Manage technical aspects of sample requests and testing programs with key customers.
11. Serve as the "voice of the customer" to the R&D and Product Management teams, providing feedback on market needs, feature requests, and competitive analysis.
12. Assist in the development of new products by defining application requirements and validating prototypes in real-world scenarios.
13. Participate in industry events, trade shows, and technical committees.
