Estimation Engineer – Plumbing & Firefighting
To prepare accurate cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions for plumbing and firefighting projects, ensuring competitive pricing and compliance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for plumbing and firefighting systems.
- Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and BOQs.
- Calculate material, manpower, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare RFQs and coordinate with suppliers for competitive prices.
- Analyze project specifications and identify scope of work and exclusions.
- Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, engineering, and project teams during the tendering process.
- Identify discrepancies, missing information, and variations in tender documents.
- Ensure estimates are accurate and submitted within the required deadline.
- Assist in preparing value engineering and cost-saving proposals.
- Maintain records of previous estimates, supplier quotations, and project cost data.
- Participate in tender clarification meetings and provide necessary technical/commercial clarifications.
- Follow up on submitted tenders and assist with negotiations when required.
