Senior Procurement Manager – National Contracting Co Ltd

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Manager to join our team in Al Ahmadi, Kuwait. This role is critical to our supply chain operations, ensuring that our procurement processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals. The Senior Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and leading a team of procurement professionals. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of market trends, and the ability to drive procurement strategies that enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives and ensure cost savings.
  2. Manage the entire procurement process, from sourcing and supplier selection to contract negotiation and management.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods and services.
  4. Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  5. Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide effective solutions.
  7. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
  8. Prepare and present procurement reports and metrics to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators.
  9. Conduct regular audits of procurement processes to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to keep the organization competitive in the marketplace.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role, with a strong track record of successful procurement initiatives.
  2. Should have experience with Substation, Overhead Transmission Line, Under Ground Projects materials.
  3. Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  5. Experience in managing supplier relationships and conducting supplier evaluations.
  6. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  7. Strong leadership skills, with experience in leading and developing teams.
  8. Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  9. Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards related to procurement.
  10. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  11. A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
