HSE Officer – Kuwait Drilling Fluids & Oil Services
HSE officers, also known as health, safety, and environment officers and environment health and safety officers, monitor health and safety, assess risk, and design strategies to reduce potential hazards within an assigned workplace or geographic area. HSE officers manage day to day safety inspections, mainly verify the various components of HSEMS and train/educate/counsel workers on various health and safety aspects relating to their work. This position may also be assigned specialized tasks as delegated by the HSE Manager.
- Ensure compliance with HSE procedures across production facilities, mud plants, and rigs through regular audits and walkthroughs.
- Identify risks and hazards, update JSAs, and support operations in implementing safer work practices.
- Conduct HSE trainings, orientations, safety meetings, and support accident investigations.
- Review HSE plans, maintain hazard/compliance registers, and coordinate PPE issuance and medical examinations.
- Monitor driver performance via IVMS, generate periodic reports, and support high-risk activity oversight.
- Verify Work Permit requests, inspect chemical storage/handling, and assist in obtaining equipment clearance certifications.
- Support on planning & attend to High-Risk Activities to provide required guidance, raise concerns & findings, or stop work were necessary
