Hse Engineer – Falcon Multi Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HSE Engineer specifically for the oil and gas industry to join our team in Al Kuwait. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in health, safety, and environmental management tailored to the unique challenges of the oil and gas sector. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with industry regulations and promoting a culture of safety within our operations. The HSE Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective health and safety programs that address the specific risks associated with oil and gas operations, including drilling, production, and refining processes. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to enhance safety performance across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health, safety, and environmental management systems tailored to oil and gas operations, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
  2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of oil and gas facilities to identify potential hazards, ensuring that corrective actions are taken promptly to mitigate risks.
  3. Provide specialized training and support to employees on health and safety practices specific to the oil and gas industry, promoting a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization.
  4. Investigate incidents and near-misses within oil and gas operations, preparing detailed reports and recommending improvements to prevent future occurrences and enhance safety protocols.
  5. Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics specific to oil and gas operations, preparing reports for management to track progress and compliance with industry standards.
  6. Collaborate with project teams to assess risks and implement safety measures during the planning and execution phases of oil and gas projects, including drilling and production activities.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to oil and gas, ensuring that the organization remains compliant with all relevant health, safety, and environmental laws.
  8. Assist in the development of emergency response plans specific to oil and gas operations and conduct drills to ensure preparedness for potential incidents.
  9. Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and community organizations, to promote the company’s commitment to HSE standards in the oil and gas sector.
  10. Lead initiatives to promote sustainability and reduce the environmental impact of oil and gas operations, aligning with corporate social responsibility goals.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven experience as an HSE Engineer or in a similar role within the oil and gas industry, with a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to this sector.
  2. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively in high-stakes environments.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with employees at all levels and fostering a culture of safety in oil and gas operations.
  4. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a dynamic industry.
  5. Proficiency in using HSE management software and tools to track compliance and performance metrics specific to oil and gas operations.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership qualities in promoting health and safety initiatives within the oil and gas sector.
  7. A proactive approach to continuous improvement, with a commitment to staying informed about industry best practices in health and safety for oil and gas operations.
  8. Relevant certifications in health, safety, and environmental management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) specific to the oil and gas industry are highly desirable.
  9. Strong commitment to ethical practices and corporate social responsibility within the oil and gas sector.
  10. A degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field is preferred, with a focus on oil and gas applications.
