Sustainability Program Manager
The Sustainability Program Manager will lead company’s sustainability agenda by developing, implementing, and monitoring initiatives that drive environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic resilience. The role focuses on aligning operations with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards, reducing the company’s carbon footprint, and ensuring compliance with national and international sustainability frameworks.
Key responsibilities
Sustainability Strategy & ESG
•Develop and implement comprehensive sustainability strategies aligned with company’s corporate objectives.
•Lead ESG reporting, develop performance metrics and prepare disclosures for internal and external stakeholders.
•Manage energy efficiency, waste reduction, and carbon footprint reduction projects from conception to execution.
•Coordinate with Kuwait-based authorities (EPA, MEW, KPC, KFAS) to align programs with national sustainability goals.
•Support and manage Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage (CCUS) feasibility, and pilot projects.
Environmental Compliance & Management
•Ensure compliance with Kuwait EPA and other regulatory standards for environmental performance.
•Implement environmental monitoring systems for air, water, and soil quality.
•Maintain updated knowledge of local and international sustainability laws, standards, and reporting requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships
•Collaborate with internal departments, external partners, regulators, and community stakeholders to promote sustainable practices.
•Represent company at sustainability workshops, conferences, and partnership meetings.
•Lead awareness and training initiatives to foster a culture of sustainability across the organization.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
•Track key metrics, analyze sustainability data, and prepare performance reports.
•Identify emerging trends, technologies, and best practices for continuous improvement.
•Communicate achievements and progress to demonstrate company’s sustainability commitment.
Other Responsibilities
•Report immediately all incidents, accidents, unsafe condition to the immediate supervisor.
•Protect environment, operate on a clean basis, and achieve sustainable development.
•Accountable for own health and safety and do not put others at risk in the course of work performance.
