Procurement/Warehouse Supervisor

Job Purpose

Supervise the receipt, dispatching and storage of spare parts, manage warehouse staff, vehicles and other equipment, ensuring efficient and organized storage.

Develop purchasing strategies and oversee the purchasing team in their daily activities of sourcing suppliers and purchasing spare parts, equipment and services. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Overseeing purchasing, receiving, warehousing and distribution operations.
  • Implementing operational policies and procedures.
  • Managing daily purchasing and warehousing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.
  • Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
  • Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
  • Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse and purchase activities.
  • Coordinating with Garage/Maintenance and Finance to determine and manage inventory needs.
  • Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
  • Ensuring safety of staff.
  • Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets.
  • Working to improve purchasing and warehousing systems and processes.
  • Motivating and disciplining staff.
  • Training new employees in the purchasing and warehousing process and how to use the purchasing system.
