Qa/qc Civil Engineer – CHINA HARBOUR ENGINEERING ARBIA COMPANY LTD.

The QA/QC Civil Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects meet the required quality standards and specifications. This position involves overseeing the quality assurance and control processes throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and design to construction and completion. The engineer will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards, ultimately contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement quality assurance and control procedures for civil engineering projects.
2. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
3. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
4. Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports and quality control plans.
5. Review and approve materials and equipment to ensure they meet quality standards.
6. Train and mentor junior engineers and site personnel on quality assurance practices.
7. Coordinate with external agencies for quality inspections and certifications.
8. Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
9. Participate in project meetings to discuss quality-related issues and solutions.
10. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during construction activities.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA/QC within the civil engineering sector.
3. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality standards.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
5. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
6. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Proficient in quality management software and tools.
8. Certifications in quality management or engineering (e.g., ISO 9001) are a plus.
9. Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
10. Strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
