Job Title: Safety Engineer

Reports to: Lead Safety Engineer

Key Responsibilities

·        Observe Contractor’s proposed methods to ensure safety to the workforce, public and other third parties.

·        Monitoring the site safety arrangements of the Contractor, ensuring that all workers are in compliance with the safety rules and guidelines.

·        Assess the method statements submitted by the Contractor for safe systems of work; review Contractor’s QHSE manual at the start of the project.

·        Issue safety violation instruction to the Contractor on any breach of safety.

·        Inspection of buildings and machines for hazards and safety violations.

·        To recommend safety features in new processes and products.

·        Report to the Resident Engineer for all safety and accident related issues for action.

·        Conduct safety training and special meetings/seminars for employees to be aware of the different practices in the workplace.

·        Develop comprehensive safety programs at the office and site.
